The Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) is a key part of the Indian Armed Forces, providing medical care to service personnel and their families. Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the different posts, candidates need to fulfill the following educational requirements:
- Accountant: Graduation in Commerce or equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Stenographer: 12th Class passes with shorthand skills.
- For Other Posts: 10th or 12th grade pass, with or without relevant experience depending on the position.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years (Age relaxation applies as per government rules)
- SC/ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- PWD: 10 years
Mode of Selection:
(a) Selection will be made on the basis of competitive examination which will consist of two
parts:-
(i) Written Examination of 100 marks.
(ii) Typing test/short hand test/trade test wherever applicable to the post & will be of
qualifying nature.
(b) The written test will consist of multiple choice questions of
(i) General Intelligence and Reasoning (ii) Numerical Aptitude
(iii) General English (iv) General Awareness
(c) Written examination will be of two (02) hours duration. The standard of written test will be
based on the minimum educational qualification prescribed for the post. The questions will be in
English and Hindi language only.
(d) Candidates, who qualify the written examination, will be called for trade specific tests as
applicable to the post applied for (where required). The number of candidates to be called for
trade specific tests will be five to seven times the number of vacancies.
